SVCC – Ride The Nine Challenge
SVCC Ride The Nine (Feb–Oct 2026)
Ride The Nine is SVCC’s new participation challenge for 2026, replacing the previous SVCC Strava Challenge.
The goal is simple: ride regularly through the year, stay involved with the club, and enjoy the satisfaction of ticking off monthly milestones.
It’s completion-based, with credits awarded for taking part — not for speed.
How Ride The Nine Works
Ride The Nine runs from February to October and is built around simple monthly goals that keep us riding regularly through the year. Each month we publish a Strava segment for everyone to complete (any pace — it’s about taking part, not racing).
There’s also an optional 100 km monthly milestone for anyone who wants to add a longer ride into the mix. You can ride 100 km as often as you like — we just track one qualifying completion per month.
The challenge is split into three seasonal quarters. Each quarter has its own mini-target and recognition, and there are end-of-season achievements for riders who complete the full set.
🌱 Spring (Feb–Apr)
Theme: Build the habit early — three months, three rides.
- Quarter Finisher: complete all 3 monthly segments

🌞 Summer (May–Jul)

🍂 Autumn (Aug–Oct)

Verification: Segment completion is checked using Strava at the end of the month, so ensure the segment is captured during your ride; if the organisers can’t see that you’ve ridden the segment that month, it won’t be counted!

Riders can optionally complete a 100 km ride in each month.
