In order to ensure a measure of uniformity in the conduct of road time
trials, a group of cycling clubs formed the Road Racing Council in 1922.
Membership was confined to founder clubs and to clubs promoting open events. A
set of recommendations was agreed upon and for fifteen years the sport
flourished to such an extent that it became necessary in 1937, in view of the
modern traffic conditions and the ever increasing number of events and
competitors, to review the whole position.
The result was that within a few months the RRC changed its title to that of
the Road Time Trials Council, adopted a new constitution admitting all cycling
clubs to membership and embarked upon a scheme of national control both of the
sport and those who compete in it.

The premier long distance cyclists' association in the UK
A Well established Devon Cycling Club based in Exmouth

The club is involved in all forms of cycling including road racing, time
trials and club runs. We organise a number of club and open events throughout
the year, which attract riders from all over the South West.

The group itself takes advantage of the area by holding as many activities as
possible out of doors. Hiking, camping and wide games form an integral part of
the Cub and Scout programmes. We are also fortunate to have our own climbing
instructors and several leaders hold hillwalking authorisations. All sections
are pleased to welcome both boys and girls.

This website has been created to
encourage small businesses and services in and around the Sidmouth area onto the
internet and put them on a level with major corporate business in the HIGH
STREET. For those without a computer presence on the internet, at little cost to
themselves, their shopfront or business can be seen with its description and
contact details, promoting themselves and Sidmouth.
This site can be viewed locally or by
people searching to buy property here; to come on holiday,or having already been
here and having forget a business name, here they can search our comprehensive
directory to recognise that shop or service by its picture-wherever they are in
the world.

Bike-Alp 2004: We are mountain biking holiday specialists based in the
stunningly attractive and vibrant village of Samoens in the heart of the Haute-Savoie
region in the French Alps. With over 200km of fast, winding single-track,
plateau fire track and gnarly descents, Samoens boasts incredible, varied riding
in some of the most spectacular surroundings on earth. High Alpine trails give
breathtaking views of Mont Blanc (which do make it a little hard to concentrate
on the trails!), while lush valley riding skirts the forests and banks of the
Giffre river. Check out more on the riding here Situated between Morzine and
Mont Blanc, we think Samoens provides just about the best riding in the world -
which is why we're here!! It's also extremely accessible, being less than an
hour from Geneva airport and just a day's drive from the ports, so getting
here's easy too
